Food was great. We ordered black bean noodles and the sweet and sour pork. Service is good. And the place is clean.

We usually have the jjajangmyeon here, which is very good. However, I remember my wife ordering a noodle soup for me once, which I really enjoyed. She doesn't refer to the menu, she just orders what she knows they have. I arrived here after work on Friday, hoping to get reacquainted with that mystery noodle soup. My first time ordering off the menu, so I picked the most likely candidate, "NOODLES WITH SEAFOOD & SOUP." I asked the server what the name of the soup was in Korean - "samseon-myeon." It seemed like what I had before, but I think my wife had ordered a separate, special sauce to mix in, which enhanced the flavor. I wasn't able to recreate my original experience, but it was still pretty good. For comparison, I ordered a second dish, "NOODLES WITH SPICY SOUP & SEAFOOD" - "jjamppong" in Korean. This was clearly not what I had before, but I enjoyed it even more than the samseon-myeon. The combination of noodles and seafood in the rich, savory broth needed no enhancement. This was a delicious, filling dinner accompanied by the usual side dishes and hot tea. The service was great, and I appreciated how they patiently answered my questions - even showing me how to write the names in Hangeul. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/9vszBEqPe56RkL25/?mibextid=oFDknk

Jjajangmyeon with tangsuyuk! Jjampong! The real deal! If you just watched Jjajangmyeon Rhapsody on Netflix and wonder "where on O'ahu can I try it while I save my $$$ for a trip to Korea?" then this is where you need to be. I found street parking on King Street- meter for an hour but dont worry, the food comes out fast. You're greeted with a friendly "Annyonghaseyo!" We came for the Jjajangmyeon but everyone was eating tge jjampong so decided to order that too. Banchan was onion with a dark sauce, pickled daikon and kimchee. Then our noodle dishes came. Then jjampong was seafoody and spicy in such a great blend and balance and rhe Jjajangmyeon was deeply flavorful and savory. The best part- the noodles! Chewy and delicious! I kept wanting to eat more but was so full- the portions are generous! The tangsuyuk was addicting- crispy, tart and sweet but not too sweet. I cant wait to go back!

This is my grandma's favorite black bean noodle (jjajangmyeon) spot on Oahu, and mine! This speaks volumes because my halmoni is very picky about what she likes, but once she finds a decent place she remains loyal for life. [Ambiance] On Dong is a Chinese-Korean fusion restaurant. There is a paid parking lot behind and metered street parking all around. Certain times of the day, and certain days, the street parking is free. I don't think there is a restroom inside the restaurant, but I suspect there's a public one nearby. [Service] Honestly, every single lady that works here is 100% fluent in Korean and in English. It's every Korean-American's dream. They are all very kind, hardworking and efficient. Each person anticipates your needs before you can even ask. I think they have the best customer service on the island of all the Korean businesses I've visited. Make sure you tip them at least 20%! They deserve that, and more! [Food] My boyfriend and I usually order the regular jjajangmyeon and kkanpunggi. My grandma particular enjoys their tangsuyuk. The banchan is good too. Love their kimchi! (Tip: pour some vinegar on the sweet onions to lessen the natural spice. Dip in the black bean sauce.) The meal also comes with hot tea--a sign of an authentic Asian restaurant. You can also ask for water! They usually have cups of ice water ready at the table. I will say that I ordered the jjamppong once or twice and it didn't have the kick I was looking for. Portions are always generous. Warning: You will likely experience food coma. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place before because I frequent often and have enjoyed each visit over the years I've lived on Oahu.

Aloha, we love trying new places which although not a new restaurant, as it's been around forever, yet new to me! Yummy Chinese restaurant run by yes, Koreans! When watching my K-dramas they're always eating something ono and this restaurant with all the Korean chatter around me made me feel like I was in one of my soaps! Lol! The black bean noodles is a must and yes they pull out the scissors, lol. So fun and delicious. If you're ono for Chinese food with a kick (yes some Korean spice in there) and haven't tried On Dong, come on down. And yup, it's BYOB, so bring your beer and soju for a fun time. Enjoy!

I had asked an employee from my dentists office about On Dong. The patients highly recommended this place. My first visit here. I ordered seafood black bean noodles. An Employee told me to wait outside. It was hot outside. There was chair by the door so I can sit. Another employee brought out my take out order. There was enough black bean sauce for the noodles. Noodles was soft enough to not be chewy. Sauce had was not too thick so it could blend with noodles.

My all time favorite Chinese Korean restaurant!! I have been to other Chinese Korean restaurants in town, but nothing beats this place. They offer the best service and the best food, and their parking is fairly easy (located behind the restraint). We went late at night so we did not pay for parking, however, there is a QR code and kiosk located in the parking lot where you can pay -- if you do takeout, there is a 20 minute grace period for parking. It's a casual place, so feel free to dress down :) I love the aunties there. They make their own pickled radish (which I love to eat especially with my black bean noodles) and kimchi. 10/10 recommend!

We were looking for chewy noodles and came across this restaurant on Yelp. Thank you Yelpers! The restaurant is a typical "mom & pop" style restaurant with wonderful waitresses who are eager to assist you with your dining experience and selections and the service welcoming. The ja jang mein was raved about so much that I was concerned I'd be disappointed with the dish with all the build up. It was totally yum-worthy & ono! We also tried the cold noodle soup which was a tad vinegary and absolutely refreshing on a hot Summer afternoon. The spicy garlic chicken was also tasty and did not disappoint. We'll be back for more of the menu tasting.
